Is ikea furniture any good?
I wanted to buy a casual dining table, but i'm worried that it might be cheezy, but tables at furniture stores are so nice,my kids wouldn't be able to use it, scratch you know not kid friendly.I'd be worried they would ruin it, however get something cheezy, worried about it falling apart. What to do??

I've found Ikea furniture is very stylish, trendy, minimalist and kid friendly. Most of their stuff is definitely scratch proof.

As far as durability is concerned, they get a medium ranking from me. Not amazingly sturdy, but not brittle by any means either.

Most of all, there are a lot of cost-effective solutions at Ikea. They've created a very positive brand image for themselves and it's well earned, in my opinion.
After buying the stuff for the last 20 years it's not going to fall apart. It's always easy to assemble and quality built.
They always have a good choice from contemporary design to close to traditional. Not all of it looks like it came straight out of Ikea. And prices to suit every pocket.

Buy with confidence.
Most of the furniture in my apartment are from ikea. Some of them are 6-7 years old and are not showing any signs of falling apart yet. They are well made and durable furniture as far as I am concerned.I have a 5 year old too. As far as scratches and paint peeling, if there are children, it can't be helped even if you buy the most expensive well known brand in the world.
my sister has bought several things from ikea
yes the furniture is pretty but i think its more for
college students because my sister has 2 kids and
she had a table and after like maybe 3 weeks it went ahead
and got wobbly and it was put together properly .. also a computer desk
that was poor quality and the a sofa that is super hard !!!!! i would not recommend
even though they have beautiful things in ikea i would not recommend furniture ..
i ve bought dishes and pans and those i do recommend :)))
Ikea stuff looks good, but furniture is not their strong suit. Most of it is fiberboard or another composite; not wood,
Any furniture that gets abused will get destroyed.

You can answer your own question. How do your children treat the furniture you have now?
Plus, you get your own phillips wrench with EVERY purchase!!!!
Kinda like cracker jacks!
