I have the same problem with my cats but have kind of given up! :) But you could try a spray bottle of water, sometime things like that will work

leave some ground pepper on these places. cats don't like the smell of ground pepper so its presence will keep them away from these places that you mentioned.

Upside-down mousetraps, several. When they jump on it, it scares the tail fur off em. Noisy bags of anything help. If you catch them, squirt them with a water bottle. It doesn't hurt them, but they sure dislike it.

My cats sleep anywhere they want, and I am very handy with dust rags and ecologically safe anti-biotic cleaner. (They go where they want when you're not home, anyway!)
